So I've had the joy of having visitors this weekend, and a new mom to boot! Nora, Paul, and Flora made their way to Austin and it truly has been a wonderful weekend. Thursday night we ordered take out and hung at the apt. Flora is cute as can be, just a big ole' happy chunk. We stopped to get some cupcakes and ended up getting 6 for free! Friday night we got sandwiches from Luke's Inside and Out and went up to Mount Bonnell to watch the sunset, beautiful! Yesterday we walked around, Nora shared some super heavy things making more sense of how our relationship has been in the past several years, had lunch at the Snack Bar, bought some fun things from Parts and Labour, then supper at B&Rs on the rooftop! Bought foods at Whole Foods and prepared in their great kitchen. Today we went to the Stone church downtown then out to Lady Bird Johnson's Wildflower Gardens, which were absolutely FABULOUS! They are so well done and just kind of magical! Now for a rest and then BBQ, bats, and Lick ice cream!
I am so grateful for friendships that can weather storms and still stay strong.
