Two of my moms come to visit Austin

I just had the most fabulously wonderful awesome weekend.  Mom and Liz drove all the way from Norris to bring Stacy's car.  And unlike the majority of people who would have been annoyed, tired and soar after a 2 day 17 hour drive, they were just as happy as two peas in a pod.  Thursday night we had delicious albeit spicy (sorry Liz!) Thai food from East Side King's Thai Kun trailer behind Wanderlust.  Then we went to the Broken Spoke!  Once again how many people could take their mom and mom's friend out two stepping!!??  It was a blast needless to say and somehow we got the closest parking spot and didn't have to pay!  Of course we finished the evening off with Lick...to die for.  Friday morning I had to work, and somehow mom and Liz still had things to talk about despite having been together nonstop for over 48 hours hahaha!  When I got home we had brunch at Blue Dahlia YUM!  We headed to work and of course mom and Liz were a hit.  How could they not be with mom's state jokes!?  "Hey Elizabeth, What did Delaware? A New Jersey!!  Then to Whole Earth Provision and each of us got fun things!  Saw the awesome graffiti and then headed home to lay by the pool although we only had one tiny sun pocket for about 15 minutes we soaked it up!  We got dressed and went to Peche for happy hour.  The most delicious mac and cheese yummy cocktails.  Then to Leta's for her TGIFall party.  What an eclectic group hahaha!?  Michael Bluejay and his wife, E. J., Leslie, Ruhull, Leta, me, mom and Liz.  Oh goodness the conversations - taking a cargo ship to Japan instead of a plane to save "according to my calculations 99% energy, but I'll spare you the numbers"; it's Primer (primmer) not Primer, the Sherlock Holmes joke about camping and the tent getting stolen; E.J's time travelers after party party.  Then we went to the Driskell for dessert, Irish coffee, and live jazz at the bar!  Saturday morning we slept in a bit and then had breakfast and chatted at home before going to Loy's daughter Lindsey's house.  Such a neat house that is under construction in the best way.  What a sweet awesome family!?  Then we went paddle boarding on the most windy and perfect fall day one could hope for!  Saw birds and turtles and had good talks with mom.  We went home showered and left for Foreign and Domestic for supper.  What a treat of a place!? All the food and service and drink was fantastic and an awesome atmosphere too!  Definitely will go back again soon!  Unfortunately they left super early on Sunday, but I honestly can't imagine a more perfect and rejuvenating visit.  I am blessed and grateful beyond words by the amazing parents I have and then even further by the many many other amazing people who have touched my life in countless and immeasurable ways.
